To honour and preserve the community’s natural legacy, Fireside was designed around 2 significant wetlands – peaceful places to connect with neighbours, wildlife watch or find quiet inspiration on your own. The larger of the 2 parks, Bulrush, is surrounded by walking paths and interpretive boards inviting visitors to learn about the wetland sanctuary surrounding them.

Located at the traffic circle near the Fireside entrance, Flagstone Park includes a children’s playground with all the traditional favourites – swings, slides, jungle gyms and the like – as well as picnic areas and benches for parents to sit and chat while the kids play.

A carefully planned system of pathways links Fireside’s residential clusters to each other, to the community’s many amenities, and to a broader regional network of established trails. At completion Fireside will be home to 32 acres of parks and pathways.

Fireside’s master plan includes two school sites centrally located for ease of access from anywhere in Fireside. The first school site will be a K-8 school due to open in Winter 2017.

Home to soccer fields, a baseball diamond and Flagstone Park, there’s no shortage of outdoor activities. At Fireside’s completion there will be 3 additional playgrounds, one of which is found in the 5.3 acre central park also featuring a basketball court, wood burning fire pit and open play area.

The Embers

The Embers

The Embers welcomes residents to gather and socialize while they take advantage of retail conveniences and basic services close to home. Anchored by a Tim Hortons, Shell gas station and convenience store, residents will also welcome a dentist, doctor, pharmacy, liquor store, and pizza takeaway restaurant. Visit The Embers.

Homeowners Association

The Fireside Homeowners Association has been incorporated for the purpose of holding title to The Private Fireside Amenities, which consist of the Fireside entrance feature, medians and boulevards located on Fireside Boulevard and entrance features into individual phases that will remain the responsibility of the Homeowners Association.

The costs that will be charged to the Fireside Homeowners Association are for the preparation, mailing and collection of the annual invoices to Homeowners, postage costs, paper, any costs in relation to the Alberta Annual Return for the Association including legal fees, property taxes and fees to audit the annual financial statements. In addition to this, starting Spring 2011 the Homeowners Association became responsible for the costs associated with maintaining the entrance feature located at the main entrance in Fireside.

To pay for the operation and maintenance of the Amenities each residential unit will be required to make a payment to the Fireside Homeowners’ Association of a fixed rental fee of $50.00 per calendar year per residential unit. The Fireside Homeowners Association Fees commenced as of January 1, 2012.

NOTE: Every unit in Fireside will have an Encumbrance on title. Please ensure your lawyer contacts the Fireside Homeowners Association to ensure there are no monies owing on your title.
